Friday Reads!

TGIF!
It's my roommates birthday Saturday so I'll be doing a lot of cleaning and having a good time! Probably won't get much reading in but I'm overly optimistic as usual...

1) Burn for Burn By: Jenny Han - 1st book in the Burn for Burn Series

2) Love Letters to the Dead By: Ava Dellaira - Standalone

3) Ignite Me By: Tahereh Mafi - Final book in the Shatter Me Trilogy

Taking out the pages I have already read the page count comes to:
3 books =  859 pages in total.
Let’s do this!

TX3 - Most Anticipated 2014 Releases

It’s TOP TEN TUESDAY by the wonderful people over at The Broke and the Bookish! Today, January 14: Top Ten 2014 Debuts I'm Excited For. As I’ve said before I REALLY don’t like to start series until they are completed so my list is primarily composed of standalones OR series that I can’t wait to be completed OR series I got stuck in (reluctantly) and am super excited to finish! So, without further adieu, here they are in no particular order:

#1
{Expected publication: February 4th 2014 by HarperCollins}
I finished everything Tahereh Mafi has put out for this series and I JUST NEED to know what happens! PS: Team Warner all the way!!!

I recently started reading Wait for You and I love it. I have already purchased the novella and I will be finishing that shortly after which will be right in time for Be with Me to come out! Sadly, I have to wait until September to finish the series though... ugh!)

This is the second and (so far) final book of the Mind Games duology. I haven't read the first book Mind Games yet but I have heard nothing except good things and I wanted to wait until this second book came out. Yay!

This book is getting some mixed reviews but I absolutely adore Easy by Tamara Webber so I'm really excited to read this book as well.

I recently read Cinder, the first book in the Lunar Chronicles, and I liked it! I will be reading Scarlet next month so I'm excited to beet my hands on Cress shortly thereafter. However... there are 4 main books in this series and the fourth book doesn't come out until next year. sniff. Luckily there are some novellas in between I can read in the time being to keep the series alive.

Um... Hello? Who wouldn't want to read this based on the cover alone?! I absolutely love everything around the land of Oz! (I recently saw Wicked for the first time... LOVE!) I think this a genius idea to make Dorothy the villain and I cannot wait!!! I will be starting this book even though it't the first of a series.

I enjoyed My Life Next Door. I think it was a good balance of family, young romance, and some pretty serious issues. I think that Huntley Fitzpatrick is a good writer and I enjoy these type of books between some of the more heavy reads.

Ready Player One was probably one of my FAVORITE books last year. That's all this girl needs to pick up his new release this year!

{Expected publication: April 8th 2014 by Putnam Juvenile}
Apparently this is going to be the first book in an untitled series but what do I care! :P I read Hawkins' Hex Hall series last year and I surprisingly enjoyed it. It kind of has a Harry Potter like theme so I didn't go in with many expectations however I adored Rachel Hawkins writing! She has something happen at the end of every chapter so you HAVE to keep reading. I'm looking forward to this one.

I've been REALLY wanting to start the Sweet Trilogy and was waiting for this last and final book to makes it debut. Do I see a series marathon in my near future?! Why yes, I do!
